Pokémon Shows and Movies for Kids: Made A Deal With Reliance’s JioCinema

India’s Reliance has just made an exciting announcement for all the little ones out there.
Reliance's JioCinema signs exclusive deal with Pokemon for children's shows and movies: Report | Mint

JioCinema, the entertainment unit of Reliance, has exclusively partnered with The Pokemon Company to stream more than 1, 000 episodes and around 20 movies of the Japanese anime series, dubbed into three Indian languages. This deal is set to bring an unprecedented level of entertainment to the Indian streaming market, worth an estimated $7 billion by 2027.

JioCinema has been battling for power in the Indian streaming market with rivals such as Netflix and Amazon. Now, with this exclusive partnership, JioCinema is set to become the ultimate destination for children’s content. The shows and movies excite kids of all ages, as Pokemon has generated a global multi-billion dollar media franchise spanning trading cards, games, TV shows and movies.

JioCinema’s growth in the children’s content market doesn’t stop here. In total, the platform will add around 3,000 hours of children’s content, including movies and shows from Entertainment One, Animaccord, Cartoon Network Studios, and DreamWorks. These additions will come through Viacom18’s existing content deals, and integration with its other streaming app, Voot Kids.

Viacom18 teamed up with Warner Bros Discovery earlier, adding popular shows like ‘Succession’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ to JioCinema. Now, with more cool stuff coming, JioCinema’s getting stronger against rivals like Disney’s Hotstar, especially for cricket fans. Get set for fun times with JioCinema and Pokémon!
