LinkedIn’s annual ranking of emerging companies is based on unique data that reflects professionals’ preferences across the globe.

The report shows that job seekers are interested in working for startups that operate in the emerging sectors of online commerce, electric mobility, and fintech. The Top 20 Indian Startups List by LinkedIn is an annual ranking of emerging companies that professionals globally want to work for, based on unique data. This year, Zepto, BluSmart, and Ditto Insurance have taken the top spots on the list. LinkedIn has used unique data and actions taken by people on its platform to fuel this “Top Startups” list, relying on four core areas of evaluation: employee growth, jobseeker interest, member engagement within the company and its employees, and how well these startups have pulled talent from the flagship LinkedIn Top Companies list.

BluSmart, India’s first electric ride-sharing company, has made it to the list for three years in a row and emerged as the second spot this year. Another new entrant to the list is Exponent Energy, an EV startup that ranks 15th. LinkedIn has seen robust growth in India’s electric mobility sector, thanks to the government’s policies, which many startups are looking to leverage.

Edtech is another prominent industry on this year’s list, with companies like GrowthSchool, Teachnook, and AccioJob ranking 10th, 13th, and 17th, respectively. Their presence underscores the continued demand for upskilling among professionals and students, with rapid changes due to technologies such as AI.

Remarkably, 14 of the 20 startups featured on this year’s list are new entrants, underscoring the immense potential and astonishing pace of innovation in India’s startup space. This list serves as a unique and actionable resource for professionals who are eager to work in new companies that are revolutionizing the industry and where one can acquire new skills. These startups are looking to hire talent right now, so it’s a great opportunity to be part of the growth story of India’s vibrant startup ecosystem.”
